Matthew “Matt” Wasson, age 27 of Dahlonega died Saturday November 21, 2009.                         A native of Ada Oklahoma, Matt lived most of his life in Dahlonega. He was a motorcycle mechanic and he loved motorcycle racing and was a gifted rider. He graduated from Lumpkin county high school in 2001. His daughter was the light of his life. Matt was preceded in death by his grandmother Bonnie Jean Wasson and grandfather William Green. He is survived by his Fiancee; Justine Waipkey, Dahlonega. Daughters; Christine Elisabeth Wasson, Dahlonega. Father and Stepmother; David and Fran Wassson, Dahlonega. Mother; Kristi Green, Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Sisters and Brother in laws: Deana and Eric Wilbanks, Dewitt, Michigan. Rachael and Gavin Knapik, Mechanicsville, Virginia. Brother and Sister in law: Christopher and Tonya Wasson, Ada, Oklahoma. Grandparents: Don and Jean Wasson, Moore, Oklahoma. Pauline Green, Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Best Friend; Blandon Garmon, Villa Rica, Georgia. Funeral Services for Matt are scheduled for 2pm Wednesday November 25, 2009 at Friendship Baptist Church in Dahlonega. Rev. Lance Fuller, Rev. Chris Gilbert and Deana Wilbanks will officiate. Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends Tuesday  from  5pm til 9 pm at Banister Funeral home in Dahlonega. Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of arrangements.
