William Rice Lassiter, aged 42,
of Atlanta, GA, died on February 8, 2010. He
was born on June 12, 1967, in Kingsport, TN.
He is survived by his parents, Ms Jane Leigh
Rice Lassiter of Tampa, FL and Mr. and Mrs.
William George Lassiter of Dahlonega, GA;
aunts, Mary Ann Green and Donna Katz as
well as a very special second family, The
Tschappats of Atlanta. He also leaves many
wonderful friends including former wife
Maralee Oleson Nelson and two beloved
cats, Bumbles and Captain Cousteau. He
was a 1985 graduate of The Westminster
Schools and attended Georgia Tech. He
was formerly employed by Lynnray Financial
Corp and the RDA of Salt Lake City, UT. He
was currently a student at Gwinnett Tech. He
had many interests including snowboarding,
fly fishing, caving, biking and SCUBA. He
was proud of his service in the United States
Marine Corp. Bill had a great sense of
humor, lived his life to the fullest and was
looking toward a bright future. A memorial
service will be held at the Dahonega Baptist
Church on Saturday, February 20, at 2PM,
with a reception following at the church.
