Brenda Walker Garrett, age 56, of Dahlonega, GA, died
November 18, 2010.
Brenda was born in Jackson County, Georgia. She lived most of her life in
Dahlonega, GA. She was a retired nurse’s aide.
She was the daughter of the late H.C. Walker and Lucille Jackson Walker.
She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Peggy and Michelle
Summerour.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay Summerour Gravitt, Mableton, GA;
Significant other, Stanley Baker, Dahlonega, GA; sister, Glenda Dobbs,
Suches, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law; Joan and Ronald Cantrell,
Dahlonega, GA, Linda and Bill Jones, Elm City, NC, Carolyn and Jerry
Bunker, Mt. Pleasant, MI, Kathy and Larry Lingerfelt, Dahlonega, GA;
granddaughter, Ashely Gravitt, Mableton, GA; special niece; Angela Helms,
Dahlonega, GA. Numerous other relatives also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday November 20, 2010 at
Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Lyman Caldwell will
officiate.
Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Dahlonega, GA.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 6
PM ‘til 9 PM on Friday and again on Saturday until the service time.
Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the arrangements.
