Randy Aaron Thomas, age 52, of Dahlonega, GA, died Thursday December 10, 2009 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Mr. Thomas was born April 12, 1957 in Memphis, TN and had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 4 years. He was a former resident of White County, GA. He was of the Baptist faith.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Mashburn Thomas.

He is survived by his father, Aaron Thomas, Dahlonega, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Ronald and Jeanette Thomas, Dahlonega, GA, and Gerald Thomas, Dahlonega, GA. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas are scheduled for 1 PM Monday December 14, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with Rev. Randall Hulsey officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dahlonega Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 PM until 9 PM.
