Mrs. Helen J. Pryor, age 67, of College Park, GA died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale, GA.

Mrs. Pryor was born in Lumpkin County, GA on March 5, 1942. She had lived in College Park for the past 25 years and was a former resident of Stockbridge, GA and Forest Park, GA. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was the daughter of the late Arch Davis and Carrie Mae Beck Davis and was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Phillip Pryor; and a brother, Junior Davis.

Helen is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Rhonda and Clyde Helton, Fairburn, GA, Tonya D’Alvia, College Park, GA, and Elizabeth Pryor, College Park, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip II and Rita Pryor, Forest Park, GA; sisters, Shirley Burke, Clarkesville, GA, Betty Simerley, Elizabethton, TN, Joyce Gulledge, Charlotte, NC, and Janice Miller, Miami, FL; brothers, James Davis, Blairsville, GA, Charles Davis and Jimmy Davis, both of Blue Ridge, GA. 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pryor are scheduled for 3 PM Monday November 30, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 11 AM until 9 PM.
