Mrs. Ida Armour Jones, age 93, of Dahlonega, GA died .

Mrs. Armour was born in Hall County, GA August 17, 1916. She had lived in Lumpkin County since 1988 and had lived in Cornelia for a number of years. She was a homemaker and was a member of Living Mission Methodist Church in Hall County.

Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Ben Armour and Katie Davis Armour and was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Hammond Jones; sons, Ray Jones, Randall Jones, and Jerry Jones; daughter, Janelle Jones; sisters, Belle Grier and Rader Jones; brothers, Ance Armour, Jack Armour, Dee Armour, Wiley Armour, John B. Armour, Taft Armour, and Dock Armour.

Mrs. Jones is survived by daughters, Katie Parson, Cleveland, GA, Sherry Sanders, Chattanooga, TN, Ruth Overby, Murrayville, GA, Mary “Sweet Pea” Shirley, Dahlonega, GA, and Debbie Jones; sons, “Dempy” Everett Jones, Nicholson, GA, Bobby Jones, Chattanooga, TN, and Billy Jones, Chattanooga, TN; brother, Leco Armour, Lula, GA. 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Carlton Jones and Rev. will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Living Mission Methodist Church Cemetery in Hall County.
