Mr. David “Little Bear” Davis, age 65, of Dahlonega died Saturday November 21, 2009 at his residence.                                                                                                                                                   

Mr. Davis was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin county. He worked at Mohawk in Dahlonega for 40 years and was of the Baptist faith.                                                                                                                                                                

He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille Watson,  father Claude D. Davis and also by his brothers Bazel G. Davis and Grady C. Davis.                                                                                                                            

He is survived by his mother: Vernell S. Davis, Dahlonega. Sisters: Mary Lou Davenport, Dawsonville, Ga. Sylvia G. Cagle, Dahlonega. Brothers and Sister in Laws: Delton H. Davis and Sherrie Davis, Marvin D. Davis and Ruth Davis,  all of Dahlonega.  Brother: Melvin G. Davis and Tammy Larson, Dahlonega. Special Friend; Janie Maupin, Dahlonega.                    

 

Funeral services for Mr. Davis are scheduled for 2PM Monday November 23, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.                                              

Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery in Dahlonega.                                                               

 

The Family will receive friends from 6-9pm Saturday and All Day Sunday until 9pm at Banister funeral home in Dahlonega.                                                                                                       

 

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of arrangements.
