Mrs. Bertha Wilkins Gibson Sullens, age 84, of
Murrayville, GA, died January 15, 2011.

She was born in Suches, GA to the late Carl Wilkins and Ella Vie Head
Wilkins. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, E.L.
Gibson and Price Sullens; son, James Gibson; brothers, Howard and
Stewart Wilkins; sisters, Marie Arnold and Beatrice Stowers;
son-in-law, Crawford Freeman; grandsons, Jason Oliver Gibson and
Walter Elisha Wade.

She was a homemaker and a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and
great-grandmother. Bertha was a member of Mill Creek Baptist
Church in Lumpkin County.

Mrs. Sullens is survived by daughter, Shirley Freeman, Box Elder,
South Dakota; daughter and son-in-law; Darlene and Allen,
Gainesville, GA; son, J.C. Gibson, Murrayville, GA; sons and
daughters-in-law, Carl and Christy Gibson, Cornelia, GA, Larry and
Pat Gibson, Macon, GA, E.L. and Karen Gibson, Gainesville, GA;
daughter-in-law, Ginny Gibson, Murrayville, GA; sister, Milton Gaddis,
Griffin, GA; stepchildren, Ronald Sullens, Deborah Fuller, and Shirley
McClure. 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous
nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, January 17,
2011, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev.
James McLendon and Rev. Dean Bryant will officiate.

Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in
Dahlonega.

The family will receive friends on Sunday January 16, 2011 from 2 PM
until 6 PM at Banister Funeral Home.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the
