Mr. Edd Reid, age 81, of
Dahlonega, GA, died Tuesday May 3,
2011, at his residence.

Edd was a native and lifelong resident of
Lumpkin County, was a member of
Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dahlonega,
and was a retired poultry worker. He
served his country honorably during the
Korean War in the U.S. Army.

He was the son of the late John Reid and
Minnie Haney Reid and was also
preceded in death by his son, Garry Reid;
brother, Kermit Reid; and sister, Alice
Tate.

Edd is survived by his wife of 55 years,
Thelma Reid, Dahlonega, GA; daughter,
Donna Gregg, Dahlonega, GA;
grandchildren, Ashley Gregg and Joshua
Chambers; great-grandchild, Kylee Reed.
A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM
Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Banister
Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Dean Bryant,
and Rev. Ken Anderson will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Baptist
Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at Banister
Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Thursday,
May 5, 2011 from 1 PM until 9 PM.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in
charge of the arrangements.
