Ray Jackson Sr., age 64, of Dahlonega, GA entered
into eternal rest July 25, 2011.
Danny was born May 8, 1947 in Winchester, TN. He had
lived in Dahlonega since 1988 and was a former resident of
Duluth, GA.
He was a man with amazing strength was a loving husband,
father, grandfather, and friend. He worked for Capital
Materials in Atlanta for 30 years.
Danny was the son of the late J.C. Jackson and Anna Lou
Jackson Turnes and was also preceded in death by a
brother, Winston Jackson; and a granddaughter, Amber
Norris.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elaine Jackson,
Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Danny Jr. and
Tammy Jackson, Gainesville, GA; daughters and son-in-law,
Cristy and Stacy Norris, Dahlonega, GA, Regina Manley, of
TN; grandchildren, Bradley Jackson, Branden, Hannah, and
Haley Norris, Michelle and Donna Manley, Chelsey Shubert,
and Alex Chavis; sister, Carolyn Partin, of TN; sister-in-law
and husband, Joan and Ronnie Vaughn, Dahlonega, GA,
brothers-in-law and wives, Miles and Penny Scott, Homer,
GA, Wayne and Tammy Scott, Dahlonega, GA; and a
number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Danny are scheduled for 2PM
Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the Banister Funeral Home
Chapel in Dahlonega.
Rev. Charles Grant and Rev. T.E. Flowers will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Lumpkin
County.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in
Dahlonega on Tuesday from 6 PM until 9 PM, Wednesday
from 12 Noon until 9 PM, and again on Thursday from 10
AM until the time of service.
Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the
arrangements.
