Deborah Roxann “Roxie” Epperson, age 54, of
Murrayville, GA died Friday, July 29, 2011 at the
Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville,
GA.
“Roxie” was born in Gainesville, GA December 1,
1956 and had lived in Lumpkin County for the past
30 years. She owned and operated Styles by Roxie
Hair Salon and was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist
Church in Lumpkin County.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles
Evans.
“Roxie” is survived by her mother, Mildred Evans;
daughter, Selena Wilson Bailey; son, Eric Epperson,
all of Murrayville, GA; sister, Janice Giles, Oakwood,
GA; grandchildren, Colt and Cayden Bailey. A
number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 5 Pm Sunday,
July 31, 2011, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in
Lumpkin County.
Rev. Les Fuller, Rev. Stephen Gerrells, and Rev.
Roger Dunagan will officiate.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral
Home in Dahlonega on Saturday, July 30, 2011 from
3 PM until 9 PM and again on Sunday, July 31, 2011
from 10 AM until 4 PM.
