In Georgia, prearranged funeral contracts are not counted
as assets for Medicaid spend- down purposes  and the
death benefit of a preneed life insurance policy grows

Imogene Dockery, age 75, of Dahlonega,
GA died Monday, November 28, 2011 at the
Northeast GA Medical Center in Gainesville, GA.

Imogene was a native and lifelong resident of
Lumpkin County and was a member of Philippi
Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. She was a
retired nursing assistant.

Imogene was the daughter of the late George
Washington Beasley and Bonnell Sutton Beasley.

She is survived by daughters and sons in law,
Dianne and Charles Stephens, Dahlonega, GA,
Debbie and Mike Walters, Cleveland, GA; son
and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Penney Dockery,
Dawsonville, GA; brother and sister-in-law,
Kenneth and Joan Beasley Gainesville, GA;
sister, Jessie Dean Eaton, Dahlonega, GA;
grandchildren; Jessica Holloway, Sarah Herrin,
William Stephens, Daniel Stephens, Rachel
Stephens, Jordan Dockery, and Ashley Dockery;
great-grandchildren, Jaden Holloway, Jesse
Brown, Josie Holloway, Carter Stephens, and
Oliver Herrin. A number of other relatives also
survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 PM
Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the Banister
Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Jason Fuller will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Philippi Baptist Church
Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral
Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday, November
30, 2011 from 6 PM until 9 PM.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge
of the arrangements.
